80-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Van

Wayland Crash Under Investigation

An 80-year-old woman was struck and killed by a van as she crossed a street in Wayland, according to the MetroWest Daily News.

Marie Martino was struck at about 7:45 p.m. at a crosswalk near the intersection of West Plain Street and Bent Avenue. Martino was taken to MetroWest Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed in the crash. The driver was identified as a man from Natick.
