BOSTON -- Officials want to talk to anyone who was aboard the Provincetown II boat Thursday night after a 41-year-old Brockton father was shot several times near Boston's new modern art museum and the World Trade Center cruise pier.
Video The shooting occurred just about midnight in the parking lot between Anthony's Pier 4 restaurant and the Institute of Contemporary Art or ICA. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he died. His identity has not been released.More than 800 people had just disembarked from a party cruise on the Provincetown II cruise ship attending the "Outrageous in Red" party when the shooting occurred. Police said that they are seeking information as to whether or not there was an altercation aboard the vessel.Investigators are also interested in any information related to any potential altercation that may have occurred in or around the Anthony's Pier 4 parking lot.It's not clear whether the victim or shooters were connected to the cruise in any way.
