BOSTON -- A judge has refused to dismiss ethics charges against controversial Superior Court Judge Maria Lopez.
Lopez came under fire for yelling at a prosecutor in court and sentencing attemped child-rapist Charles Horton to probation.
Some lawmakers asked to have her removed from the bench.
The Commission on Judicial Conduct is looking into whether actions taken by Judge Lopez to defend herself violated the rules of conduct.
A hearing is set for Nov. 18.
