BOSTON -- When Josh Beckett couldn't stop an Angels sweep of Boston Red Sox last week, the pitching ace wasn't the only team employee lamenting a personal loss."I was walking home looking for my keys and realized my pocket wasn't as heavy as it used to be," said Marshall Caldera, 17.Caldera works the concession stands at Fenway Park. Nearing his house, he realized his wallet was gone.
"As soon as he said it was lost and lost on the T, we were making plans to replace his ID and kiss his cash goodbye," Marshall's father, Paul, said.Marshall Caldera went home to the North End. As usual, he got on the green line in Kenmore Square and got off at the Haymarket Station, and he lost his wallet somewhere in between. As it turns out, the game couldn't be salvaged, but the teen's wallet was."I have lost things before, like a cell phone. Not only did I lose it, but they ran up my cell bill," Marshall Caldera said. "This is totally the opposite."NewsCenter 5's Jorge Quiroga reported that Marshall's wallet arrived out of the blue in the morning mail -- wallet, identification, Charlie card, even his $20.There was no note, nothing asked. The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority agent who found the wallet even paid the $1.85 postage to return Marshall's wallet."She worked the green line that night and from what I can tell from the postal marks, she lives in Dorchester," Paul Caldera said. "She took the time out of her own personal time to go to the post office to mail this to us, and it was a very nice gesture.MBTA employee Waleata Odware declined NewsCenter 5's request for an interview, saying she didn't return the wallet for notoriety. She said she returned it because it was the right thing to do.
