Two women died and a third suffered serious injuries after a driver lost control of her vehicle on Route 1 South in Wrentham, left the road and crashed head on into a tree.

State Police said the driver, Alexa Latteo, 19, of Mansfield, and a front seat passenger, Debra Davis, 20, of Milton, were declared dead at the scene near Myrtle Street.

A medical helicopter rushed the injured back seat passenger, Nina Houlihan, 20, of Norton, to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Police said troopers responded to the scene at about 7 p.m Saturday.

State police said the victims had likely just left the Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium. Pictures from the concert were found on their cell phones.
