BOSTON -- A man was fatally shot in a car in Mattapan early Saturday morning, police said.

Officers responding to reports of gunfire in the area of Greenfield Road and Roseberry Road found the victim, a black male in his 30s, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds shortly after midnight. He was seated in a vehicle parked outside of 72 Greenfield Road.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime.

Police are investigating the incident and have not announced any suspects in the shooting.
