BOSTON -- An 8-year-old Dorchester boy was hailed a hero Tuesday after he helped save his mother's life.
NewsCenter 5's Jorge Quiroga reported that it's not the first time the child has come to the rescue.

When Melissa Vasquez suffered a seizure early Monday, her son Jesus, 8, knew exactly what to do.
"I went to any phone that I saw, and I just called 911 fast," he said.
His mom was experiencing a grand mal episode. Facing a potential life-and-death situation, Jesus stayed remarkably cool. He explained his mother's condition and even corrected the operator about their address.
Jesus also called his grandmother for help.
"She told me to clean up all the blood that she had coming out," Jesus said.
When the EMTs arrived, Jesus helped get his two younger sisters ready to go to the hospital, as well.
For his quick action, the third-grader received a commendation from Boston EMS. They called him Boston's youngest hero.
His mother definitely agrees.
"I am proud of him," Melissa Vazquez said. "I always thank him for it. He has done it since he was 5 years old."
