Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez, who is known for his many "Manny being Manny" moments, on Tuesday added a spot on the state's list of unclaimed and abandoned property to his history in Boston.

State Treasurer Timothy Cahill said a check for $10,000 was sent to the Abandoned Property Office when the check from Reebok to Ramirez went undelivered.

Ramirez will also receive $49.56 in interest.

It's not unusual for high-profile individuals to appear on the treasurer's list. In February, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice discovered she was owed money.

Cahill said that his department wants to return unclaimed money regardless of the owner's name or public stature.
