BOSTON -- A Hyde Park man was charged Tuesday in connection with a shooting on the Fourth of July.Police said that Kevin Louis, 21, fired a gun during a dispute on Edwardson Street. He was held on $50,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty to charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.Boston police arrested Louis Monday night at his Greenwood Circle home after obtaining witness statements and ballistics evidence relative to an investigation into the shooting death of 17-year-old Ronald Marc. That investigation yielded information that Louis drew a gun and fired it near the area in which Marc was killed, police said.
No one has been charged in connection with Marc’s slaying.
