“I was crying, shocked and somebody called the ambulance,” said Faithley’s mother Yvrose DesRavines.

Yvrose DesRavines said she had been visiting with a family member in another room and checking on her daughter, who was playing alone, every five minutes.

“I didn’t see her, and when I got in the other room, I heard her crying downstairs,” Yvrose DesRavines said.

Yvrose DesRavines said the window was closed, and that her daughter may have opened it.

Neighbors and family members went with Faithley DesRavines to the hospital.

“It was just a horror. She was screaming,” said neighbor George Peterson.

Boston police said they haven’t decided whether they’ll ask the Department of Social Services to investigate, or whether they’ll file any type of complaint.

The girl broke her thigh bone in the fall.
