BOSTON -- Vandals went on a reckless spree in the North End early Sunday morning, smashing in the windows of eight cars parked along the street.NewsCenter 5’s Jim Morelli reported someone with stick, a bat or a pole went up and down Charter Street smashing vehicles just after midnight, leaving the street littered with pebbles of glass.

They have a beer or two after a game, and if the local teams lose they get upset,” said North End resident Freddy Petrino.Amber Lanczki has had her vehicle vandalized twice in recent months, including Sunday morning.“It’s a beautiful day outside today. I was coming down to lie in the sun, and I found my car like this,” she said.The vandals didn’t take anything from Lanczki’s car.Boston police described the suspect as a white male who was seen riding in a tan vehicle.
