A man and his son were found dead in a Norfolk home in what police called an apparent murder-suicide.

Norfolk police were called to 3 Stony Road at 4:31 p.m. Wednesday. Edmund Brabants, 68, who lives in the home, and his son, Edmund J. Brabants Jr., 46, of North Attleboro, were found dead.

The deaths remained under investigation, but Norfolk police said that Edmund J. Brabants Jr. had a history of mental illness. Officials said that they are investigating the probability that he killed his father before committing suicide.
