BOSTON -- The driver of a pickup truck involved in crash with an oil tanker truck last week has been cited, according to a local paper.Harwich police said Matthew Eaton, 35, ran a stop sign at the intersection of Lothrop Avenue directly into the path of a Cape Cod Oil truck on Great Western Road, the Cape Cod Times reported. The tanker overturned in the collision, spilling thousands of gallons of home heating oil into the street and nearby wetlands.Great Western Road will remain closed through the Memorial Day weekend.
Insurance companies will decide who pays the cleanup, estimated at hundreds of thousands of dollars, the paper reported.Eaton was still in Cape Cod Hospital in stable condition on Tuesday, the paper reported.
