BOSTON -- A 13-year-old student rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon after getting hit by a car in Boston.

The incident happened near the intersection of Seaver Street and Humboldt Avenue in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.

Witnesses said the teen had just stepped off a bus and was crossing Seaver Street to board another bus when he was hit.

The teen was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
