Teen Wanted In Stabbing Case Turns Self In

Girl, 16, Says Assault Was Self-Defense

A teenage girl wanted in connection with a weekend stabbing has turned herself in to police.

Tiffany Rivera, 16, said she got into a fight after a party early Sunday morning and stabbed an 18-year-old girl in self-defense.

Video

The victim was slashed in the face and torso eight times, leaving her in critical condition.

Rivera said it was a fight "gone wrong" and she decided to turn herself in because it was a case of self-defense.

Police said Rivera was also sending threatening e-mails and text messages to the stabbing victim.

Rivera faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
