Whitey Sighting Raises Questions

Officer Reports Seeing Bulger Walking Dog

POSTED: 6:35 am EDT April 3, 2008

A new report is raising new questions when reputed mobster Whitey Bulger went on the run.

A Quincy police officer reported seeing Bulger walking his dog near Wollaston Beach on Jan. 7, 1995, the Boston Herald reported.

That's two weeks after he is generally believed to have skipped town.

If true, the report raises new questions about where Bulger may have been hiding.

The FBI said while they knew about the report they doubt the mobster was in Quincy that day.
