You can get one free credit report each year from each of the three major credit bureaus. You can also contact them with any disputes you have on your report.

Trans Union

They don't make it easy to find the free reports. It's a special deal legislated in some states, such as Massachusetts. Your best bet is to call Equifax and Experian. TransUnion has the free report set up on its site as part of the ordering process.

You may also only be able to receive your free report through the mail, and not online. All the agencies offer other ways of getting your report, including paid packages that will collect all three at once or notify you if something changes.
