Fire crews were called to the same Fitchburg multi-family home twice in 12 hours Thursday.

Crews battled heavy flames on Franklin Street overnight.

Officials said the blaze started about 12:30 a.m., exactly 12 hours after another fire left more than 10 people homeless.

The second fire was being called suspicious.

Fire officials said they also had to battle the elements, with cold weather hampering firefighting efforts. Crews reported frozen hydrants.

No one was hurt in either fire.
