Witnesses told NewsCenter 5 that the club was hosting a promotional event for the "Girls Gone Wild" tour. They said there may have been over 1,000 patrons inside the club.

The "Girls Gone Wild" tour at Aria had been advertised on several Boston-area Web sites.

Police brought in dogs to control the crowd and several people were taken into custody. Police did not say if they were involved in the shooting.
