Lawmakers To Look At Baby Bottle Safety

New Study Raises Concerns About Plastic

The safety of baby bottles sold in Massachusetts will be in the spotlight on Beacon Hill Thursday.

Lawmakers and advocates will release findings of a new study that show BPA, a synthetic plastic used to make some bottles causes serious health problems, from diabetes and obesity, to cancer.

Advocates are pushing for a bill to be passed that would require a substitute chemical be used to make the bottles here in Massachusetts.
