BOSTON -- Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss may not be distracted by a court hearing just before the Super Bowl. The football star will not appear at his scheduled court appearance this coming Monday. The Web site www.ESPN.com reported that Moss' lawyer will request a delay in a scheduled hearing to see if a permanent restraining order should be issued against Moss. The appearance was scheduled after Rachelle Washington, a longtime friend of the receiver, accused Moss of battering her earlier this month. Moss has denied the allegations and has not been criminally charged. Moss will travel with the Pats to Arizona when they travel this weekend.
