A 13-year-old boy was killed Thursday in a hit-and-run in Taunton.The crash happened shortly after midnight near 15 Poole St. Officials said that the vehicle involved was a 1995 to 1997 red or maroon Ford Explorer that would have damage to the right front end.The vehicle veered off the roadway, struck the 13-year-old boy who was riding a bike and fled the area. The boy, who was not identified, died at Morton Hospital. Another teen who was walking with the victim at the time of the crash described the truck to police.Anyone with information about the vehicle was urged to call the District Attorney's State Police Unit at 508-993-2016 or the Taunton Police at 508-824-7522.
