Officer Snags Dad On Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Driving Charges

A Hudson, Mass., father was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct Monday after he became so frustrated trying to navigate holiday traffic in the parking lot at the Natick Collection mall that he allegedly drove over curbs and landscaping.

Natick police said they charged Joseph J. Mitchell, 33, with disorderly conduct and reckless operation of a motor vehicle, the MetroWest Daily News reported.

  • He was scheduled to be arraigned in Natick District Court Tuesday.

    An officer who had pulled over another vehicle claimed he saw Mitchell, with his toddler in the car, trying to bypass traffic .

    He claimed he saw Mitchell hop a curb and weave across landscaping near the Cheesecake Factory as he tried to get to Route 9 and enter the westbound traffic.

    Police claimed he was endangering other drivers and pedestrians, the paper reported.
