Boy, 16, Charged With Rape, Robbery

Clerk Opening Store For Business When Attack Occurred

A teenager was placed under arrest over the weekend in connection with an attack on a Somerville store clerk.

The attack happened back in September.

Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with armed robbery and aggravated rape.

Police said the teen approached the clerk as she was opening up a business for the day, demanded cash and then sexually assaulted her.

The boy will be formally charged in Cambridge Juvenile Court.
