The Massachusetts priest charged with stalking late night talk show host Conan O'Brien was taken into custody Saturday night after being reported missing earlier in the day.

The Rev. David Ajemian was reunited with his family around 7 p.m. and was hospitalized, Boston police said. No arrest was made and no charges filed.

Ajemian's father, Robert, reported him missing around 3 p.m. Boston police said he was last seen around 12:30 p.m. on Marlborough Street. They considered him homicidal and suicidal, and issued a radio broadcast urging anyone who came into contact with him to use caution.

Ajemian is accused of sending several notes to O'Brien, then showing up at NBC studios in New York last week despite an order to stay away.

On Friday, Ajemian was found fit by a New York judge to stand trial on the charges. He later posted $2,500 cash bail.

Robert Ajemian said his son has been receiving treatment for mental health problems.

"He's been under some medication, and whether he has got the right medication or he stopped taking his medication -- whatever happened, he doesn't fully understand yet," Robert Ajemian said.

O'Brien is from Brookline and the two men were at Harvard at the same time, although it is unclear whether they ever met in college.

Ajemian began writing O'Brien last September. He has been placed on leave by the Boston Archdiocese.
