Nikole Killion is a correspondent for the Hearst-Argyle Washington bureau. You can catch her reports any weekday morning. She also delivers the top headlines from the nations' capital in our daily Washington webcast.

Nikole is no stranger to politics. She joined Hearst-Argyle from WJLA/NewsChannel 8 in Washington, DC where she served as a general assignment reporter and substitute anchor.

Nikole covered several top stories in the region including the state funeral of President Ronald Reagan, Washington’s historic baseball stadium deal and the Beltway Sniper Trial. In 2007, Nikole traveled to South Africa where she produced a special report on HIV/AIDS as a recipient of the Johns Hopkins University International Reporting Project Fellowship.

Before heading "Inside the Beltway", Nikole was an anchor at NBC affilate WHAG in Hagerstown, MD. During her stint in Western Maryland, Nikole earned an Associated Press Award for Outstanding Specialty Reporting.

She has also worked on-air for Black Entertainment Television (BET), WKYT (CBS) in Lexington, KY and New York 1 News. Nikole got her start in television as an assignment editor and field producer for NBC News.

Nikole is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She is an alumna of the Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University. She holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
