Driver Charged With DWI After Bicyclists Hit
Surveillance Video Shows Collision

CONCORD, N.H. -- A Massachusetts man was charged with drunken driving after a collision early Friday morning in Concord seriously injured two bicyclists.Video from a security camera captured the collision. It shows a car swerving wildly, slamming into the back of a parked car and hitting two bicyclists. One of the bicyclists is shown hitting the pavement.Adam Lamothe, 24, of Worcester, Mass., was charged with felony driving while intoxicated. Police said he was drunk while he was driving his black Nissan sedan on South Main Street."It's a serious charge," Sgt. Michael McGuire said. "He could face some jail time."Lamothe was ordered held on $110,000 bail.The security video from a nearby store also shows several people rushing to help those injured. A truck pulls up and stops, and a woman believed to be a nurse ran out to help."Both were transported to Concord Hospital, one with severe injuries," McGuire said.One of the bicycle riders was identified as Adam Boyer, but it was unclear which rider was the more seriously injured.Police said that Lamothe hit parked cars at Eagle Square earlier in the night and kept driving. He was charged with leaving the scene of the first crash.Police said they were still investigating where Lamothe was earlier in the evening.
