BOSTON -- Police are investigating a shooting near a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority station on Thursday.Boston police said a 19-year-old male was shot in the arm and leg on Thursday at around 1 p.m. near the Ruggles MBTA Orange Line station. The teen was taken to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening multiple gunshot wounds.MBTA police said they were looking for the gunmen, described as two black males in their late teens, who fled the scene after the shooting. Police said the shooting was not random."There were no words exchanged -- nothing was said. This was a very deliberate act. He stood up as he was exiting the train, turned and fired," MBTA police Deputy Chief John Martino said.MBTA police said the shooting happened in the last car of a southbound Orange Line train that stopped at Ruggles."The suspects knew who the victim was, and intended to harm the victim, and did so," Martino said.Witnesses said they heard at least three shots as people dove to the ground."It is just devastating because the parents are not really doing what they should be doing to control their children," one passenger said."There is always fear. You got to keep going and you can't let the fear get the better of you," another passenger said.MBTA service at Ruggles station was stopped during the investigation. Buses were brought into bring passengers to other stops.
