BOSTON -- A 19-year-old Gloucester college student who disappeared last week has been found safe, officials said.

Starsha Tupper, 19, was last seen on Tuesday leaving a financial aide meeting at North Shore Community College in Lynn where she is a student.

Police in her hometown said the woman contacted her family and she is safe.

Friends said Tupper had talked about a new boyfriend, but they had not met him.

It is unclear why she disappeared or where she was staying, police said.
