Two thieves on Cape Cod may have anticipated this week's hot weather when they stole air conditioners from a CVS store in Dennis.

Police have released a series of surveillance photos in hopes of identifying the men who spent time inside the store before returning to steal two air conditioners Saturday evening.

The men were inside the store for about 10 minutes before one was captured on camera "picking up an air conditioner from a stack in the entranceway," according to a statement issued by Dennis police.

The pictures show the men returning a second time to take a second unit. One of the men returned in different clothes, police said.

The first thief is described as white, 6 feet tall and in his mid-to-late 40s with graying hair. The second is slightly shorter with a stocky build and dark hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Dennis police at 508-394-1315.
