BOSTON -- It now appears a young humpback whale found dead on a North Shore beach earlier this week was killed by a boat.

Scientists -- some from the New England Aquarium -- believe the animal died of blunt trauma from a large Ship.

The humpback was found on a Rockport beach on Monday.

The whale had been spotted off the coast on Sunday and appeared to be healthy.
