A Berlin, N.H. school told a student she could go to the prom alone after she learned her boyfriend has to work. Should schools be able to ban solo prom-goers?
Plans for a perfect prom at Berlin High School in New Hampshire are turning into a nightmare for one student.

Anna Lique's boyfriend may have to work the night of the prom so she asked the school if she could go by herself, but school officials said no.

It's actually a school rule that the school government decided on to keep the event formal, school officials said.

Lique had already bought her dress, shoes and accessories.

She said she's not sure if she'll still try to go.
