Driver Thrown From Car In I-495 Accident

BOSTON --

A driver was seriously injured in an early-morning car rollover on Interstate 495 in Littleton Wednesday.

SmartRoutes reporter Cindy Campbell said the accident happened about 6:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the road just after the Route 119 exit.

The driver was thrown from the car and Med-Flight was called in to airlift the driver to the hospital.

The left lane of the road was closed during the rescue and accident investigation.

The identity of the victim was not released.

Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
