Two New Hampshire residents said that they are happy to be back on dry land after they were stranded on an island for days in the middle of this week's nor'easter.

Sumar Maji and Kristin Simard pulled up to the dock in Manchester, N.H., on Thursday. They were on Star Island as they were getting it ready for summer tourist season.

They experienced waves as tall as a lighthouse, as massive amounts of water swept over the island.

Winds were in excess of 60 knots. Maji and Simard said that they did whatever they could to stay warm and dry. Despite the frightening conditions, they said it was amazing to see the fury of Mother Nature.
