Students Charged In H.S. Bomb Scare

Pair Arraigned On Felony Charges

POSTED: 6:20 am EDT April 4, 2007

Two Methuen High School students were charged in connection with a bomb scare at the school -- all because one teen didn't want to do some work.

Authorities allege that George Katter, 17, and a 15-year-old student placed a phony bomb on school grounds last month.

Authorities told the Eagle Tribune newspaper that they did it because the 15-year-old didn't want to do his English homework.

Both students were arraigned this week on several charges, including use of a hoax device.

Those are felony charges.
