Two teens will face a judge Thursday on charges they allegedly abducted a local teacher and robbed her.

Two 15-year-olds are accused of showing up at Lisa Apovian's Haverhill home Monday and asking to use her phone to call for a ride.

Since one of them was a former student, police said, Apovian offered to drive them. But when she got in the car, police said, one of the teens put a knife to her neck.

They allegedly drove to Lawrence, where they're accused of using her debit card to rob her of $400.

But Apovian jumped out of the car just as it passed a couple of police officers.

The teens tried to take off, police said, but officers caught up with them a few blocks down the road after the car crashed.

The teens are now facing several charges, including kidnapping and armed carjacking.
