No serious injuries were reported when a plumbing truck crashed into a beauty salon in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood on Friday afternoon.

NewsCenter 5's Mary Saladna reported that the van crashed through the front door of the Ultra Beauty Shop on Center Street sending shattered glass and debris everywhere.

Five people, including the two men inside the van, suffered minor injuries.

"I work at the police department and the call came in while I was working. My mom was inside and all my co-workers. Apparently, the guy fell asleep at the wheel or whatever, and he landed there. Nobody was seriously hurt. One of the girls went to the hospital with a broken leg, another one who was pregnant just went to get her baby checked out. Everyone else had head lacerations or minor injuries. Thank God everyone got out fine, " said shop co-owner Brenda Ortiz.

Officials are checking the building's structural integrity and are working to shore up the walls.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and plan to interview the van's driver.
