A car struck a University of Connecticut student on Wednesday, four days after a fatal hit-and-run on campus that remains under investigation.

Police said a car struck a student on Glenbrook Road on Wednesday morning. That student is expected to recover from minor injuries, police said.

According to police, the driver, Christine Delvecchio, 21, fled the scene and was located a short time later. Police issued a summons to Delvecchio.

Police have not released the identity of the victim.

Carlee Wines, 19, of Manalapan, N.J., was hit early Saturday morning while she tried to cross North Eagleville Road. Wines succumbed to her injuries and died on Monday morning at Hartford Hospital.

Police still have not determined the identity of the driver in her case.

UConn Police set up an informational checkpoint at the same scene where Wines was struck late Friday night in an effort to gather clues in their continuing investigation.
