BOSTON -- A Hopkinton man accused of killing his wife and baby daughter asked a judge Friday to release him on bail and allow him to return to his parents' home in England.NewsCenter 5's David Boeri reported that Neil Entwistle, 28, is accused of shooting his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Lillian, who was 9 months old.Defense attorney Elliot Weinstein asked Middlesex Superior Court Judge Peter Lauriat to use Entwistle's parents' home as collateral for his release. Weinstein said that if Entwistle violated the conditions of his release, Entwistle's parents would lose their home.Under the conditions of Entwistle's release proposed by the defense, he would be confined to their home and would wear a global positioning device to track his movements."He would be constantly monitored for 24 hours a day, seven days a week," Weinstein said.Entwistle would be automatically extradited if he violated the terms of the release."I've had clients who were from the United Kingdom, who were charged, came into this country, faced arraignment, returned, came back for court proceedings. It is the first time that I am aware of that anyone has made such a request in a murder case," Weinstein said. The prosecution said that the motion was unrealistic and unreliable.Lauriat said that he would take the motion under advisement.
