A homeowner in Jamaica Plain is drawing a lot of attention for his Christmas display.

NewsCenter 5's Mary Saladna reported that Dominic Luberto bought the single-family castle along the Arborway about one year ago. He said that Christmas lights have always been a life-long passion.

"There are about 130,00 lights (on the house)," Luberto said. "Half done."

He said his Christmas display was one of the things he had in mind when he bought the house.

"I said, 'that's where my lights are going to look good. Right there," he said.

Not everyone is happy with the display. Some of his neighbors are not enjoying the neon effect -- especially since the lights remain on until midnight. Others share his passion.

"It's a creation from the heart of this man," neighbor Ruben Fernandez said. "It's fantastic."

"I do it for the kids. I really do it for the kids, and I really enjoy it. I enjoy it so much that I keep going. I never stop," Luberto said.

The inside of his home was decorated for the holidays by his wife, Isora Luberto.

Luberto said that his electric bill is high. The most recent bill was for $1,100.
