If you've seen the movie "The Departed," it might remind you of fugitive mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger, and it seems Bulger may have wanted to check it out himself.

A San Diego police officer told the Boston Herald that he saw Bulger, or someone looking just like him, leaving a screening of the mob flick.

That officer trailed the man, but lost him when the man hopped on a trolley.

"The Departed" is a Boston-based crime drama about state police waging war on organized crime with an organization full of mob moles and FBI informants.

Sound familiar?

Bulger disappeared after allegedly being tipped off about his pending arrest in 1995.

He has been charged in connection with 18 murders.

San Diego police are investigating the latest sighting.
