Defeated Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Martha Coakley was the subject a vicious parody on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.

NBC
SNL opened with a skit poking fun at President Barack Obama's State of the Union address with Fred Armisen playing the role of the president.

The SNL writers bashed Coakley mercilessly for her loss against Republican Scott Brown.

"Our candidate Martha Coakley was the single most incompetent candidate to seek public office in this nation's history," Armisen said to raucous applause.

"Shame on you Martha Coakley," he continued. "How do you not know that Curt Schilling pitched for the Red Sox," referring to Coakley's campaign gaffe that Schilling was a Yankees fan.

"Martha Coakley, you are a disgrace," the skit continued.

"You could not beat Dick Cheney for mayor. You deserved to lose, Martha. You stunk up the joint," Armisen said before moving on to a broad parody of Obama's address.
