BOSTON -- Fights between teenagers and posted on the Internet are causing concerns in Lowell.NewsCenter 5's Kelley Tuthill reported Tuesday that many of the fights involve girls in what some say is a disturbing trend. The videos were posted on YouTube by someone known as Trecpeo. In one video, two teenage girls punch and claw at each other. Then there's the two boys fighting in a parking lot, and dozens watched as four girls brawl in front of the library."There's a lot of fights on you tube. People like to watch it," Lowell High School sophomore Brandon Valcich said."It doesn't surprise me. People video fights all the time and think it's cool," Lowell High School student Kara Powers said.Police don't agree. They've already started pouring over the video. They're charging a 15-year-old Wang Middle School girl with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon in connection with a Dec. 22 fight.Police say her large rings cut her classmate's face, split her lip and bruised her eye."I just saw it today. It's upsetting -- really bad," Lowell High School senior Ricky Hai said.Police are now trying to send a message to those who brawl and those who stand by and do nothing."It's not right. It's really bad," Hai said.
