BOSTON -- Police, fire and hazmat crews were called to downtown Boston on Thursday after a report that suspicious packages were found in 1 Financial Center.Boston police said cleaning crews found two packages at about noon on Thursday in the basement mailroom of the complex, and one package contained a white powder. Hazmat crews were decontaminating the area.The area was evacuated for a time, but people were allowed back into the building at about 1:20 p.m. There were no reports of injuries.SmartRoutes said drivers should avoid the Atlantic Avenue and South Station area.
