BOSTON -- Little Sinjin Scozzaro made a clean entrance into the world last week, smoothly delivered in a bathtub by his anxious dad, who was helped along by a police dispatcher.Gian Scozzaro's girlfriend, Alison Faulconer, went into labor last week in his apartment in Belmont. A police dispatcher walked the new father through the delivery step-by-step over the phone.Listen To 911 Call“His head is crowning. He’s coming out,” Scozzaro was recorded saying over the phone to police dispatcher Ted Pendergast on the Sept. 16 call."Are you familiar with what you're supposed to do?" Pendergast asked."Sort of," Scozzaro said.Pendergast advised Scozzaro to place clean towels under Faulconer in the tub and calmly guided him through the birthing process until the baby's cries could be heard a few minutes into the call. The baby's mother said, "Hi sweetie!""He looks, OK, he's breathing," Scozzaro said.Mom, dad and new son Sinjin visited the Belmont police department this week to meet Pendergast. They were all said to be doing well.
