BALTIMORE -- A father accused of abducting his 7-year-old daughter has waived his right to a hearing and will be extradited from Baltimore to Massachusetts, two days after he was arrested there and the child was found safe.

Clark Rockefeller is accused of kidnapping his daughter, Reigh Boss, during a supervised visit in Boston on July 27. He faces up to five years in state prison if convicted of kidnapping.

Court officials said Clark Rockefeller, 48, signed the waiver before a hearing Monday on a fugitive warrant charging him with abduction of a minor child. He faces no charges in Maryland.

During his court appearance, Rockefeller was dressed in a blue polo shirt and khakis and wore handcuffs and leg irons. He did not speak and was not represented in court by an attorney.

A spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney said Boston Police were expected to take custody of Rockefeller in Baltimore Tuesday and bring him back. "He will be booked and processed upon his return," said Jake Wark.

Rockefeller was arrested Saturday in Baltimore after police and FBI agents called him to say his catamaran, docked at the nearby Anchorage marina, was taking on water. They had been tipped off to his whereabouts by a real estate agent in the area after an international manhunt.

When Rockefeller emerged from the carriage house he had secured in the city's trendy Mount Vernon neighborhood, authorities arrested him without incident.

Reigh was found unharmed inside and was said to be "ecstatic" when police arrived. She was reunited with her mother, Sandra Lynn Boss, soon after.

Boston police said it appeared Rockefeller was setting up new life in Maryland at the time of arrest and had been renovating the carriage house for the past several months.

He told a real estate agent when he paid $450,000 cash for the property that he liked the location because it was close to a nearby private Episcopal school, the Boston Globe reported. He closed on the carriage house two weeks ago, the agent said.

Residents of the complex said Rockefeller had been coming to the complex at 618 Ploy St. for several years and had identified himself as Charles “Chip” Smith.

The marina manager said Rockefeller's catamaran had been docked there for about nine years and although he never seemed to sail it, he came by to check on it a few times a year.

Police said Rockefeller also used the name Clark Rock in Baltimore. They said he has also gone by the names Michael Brown, JP Clark Rockefeller, James Frederick, and Clark Mill Rockefeller.

Authorities are still trying to determine his real identity after they uncovered additional aliases he used in Maryland.

Rockefeller was divorced from Reigh's mother last year after a 13-year marriage in which they lived in Boston's posh Beacon Hill neighborhood and kept a vacation mansion in New Hampshire.

Rockefeller reportedly ceded custody of the child to Boss rather than reveal his true identity.
