BOSTON -- A woman's body was found Tuesday morning in the Mission Hill section of Boston.
Woman Found Dead In Apartment Police were called to 170 Parker Hill Ave. at about 6:45 a.m. after someone saw an open door to an apartment and a woman's body lying inside."We are told there are some signs of trauma, but whether there they are indicative to a homicide -- that is why the homicide unit is on scene and they are going to investigate that," said Boston Police Officer James Kenneally.Police said the victim, a 22-year-old Hispanic woman, had been shot to death. Her name was not released.Police searched under cars and in bushes near the apartment, and a car was towed from the scene. It is unclear what they were looking for or if they found anything."It is a safe community with people who know each other a lot of students, people check in with each other," said City Councilor Michael Ross, who lives just doors from the apartment complex.Boston police asked anyone who has information about the woman's death to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
