The infamous Fenway red hawk that has become a Red Sox mascot now has a name.

The Boston Herald and Lowell Spinners held a contest and the winning name that was announced Tuesday is Striker.

It was a real thrill for NewsCenter 5, because the name was submitted by the 5-year-old daughter of a producer who works at the station.

Caroline Davis wins, among other things, the right to throw out the first ball at a game and tickets to a Red Sox-Yankees game.
