A New Bedford art student who was working at Walgreens was robbed earlier this year, but the victim was able to draw a sketch of the suspect, according to a report.

Detectives released the sketch Wednesday that the 19-year-old drew. She was robbed at gunpoint on Jan. 27 while working at the store at 838 Pleasant St., the Cape Cod Times reported.

The woman, who was not identified, was approached by the man when she went outside to smoke a cigarette. Police Lt. Jeffrey Silva said that the man asked her if she could break a $20 bill. She said that she could not, so the man followed her inside the store, pulled out a gun and stole cash out of a register drawer.

The woman said that he was 6 feet tall, with dark hair, a long face and a medium build. At the time, he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jacket.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at 508-991-6300.
