A Florida company is recalling about 4,000 SCUBA buoyancy compensator inflators.

Halcyon Manufacturing says the SCUBA buoyancy compensator bladder may have a slow leak, causing unexpected buoyancy problems for divers, possibly resulting in decompression sickness.

The company has received 10 reports of the buoyancy compensators leaking, but no reports or any injuries.

Halcyon is recalling all stainless steel power inflators.

They have a stainless steel oral and power inflate button.

Inflators made of plastic are not included in this recall.

Dive stores nationwide sold the inflators individually from October 2003 through May 2004 for about $46. The inflators also were sold as part of buoyancy compensator units ranging from $270 to $600.

Consumers should stop using the recalled products and contact Halcyon for information on receiving a free repair.

Consumers can call (800) 425-2966 or visit the company's Web site for more information.
